Arrived at Newark airport at 11am Monday, picked up a hire car and drove to a "Park and Ride" car park to catch a bus to Manhattan Island where we walked to some of the New York sights.

Then a 4 hour drive, 3 if it hadn't been for the crazy traffic, to the retreat centre in upstate New York arriving at 10pm, 3am Irish Time. Torrential rain for the last 2 hours of the journey. Glad to arrive safely.
